The artist I am discussing for this entry is Maggie Taylor, surrealist photographer living in Gainesville, Florida. Often times, I think that the aesthetic I like really only works in black & white (or antiqued to sepia) however Taylor is an example of an artist who works with surrealism in a contemporary setting however maintains a haunting, vintage mood.
The way her imagery is created is through collage of either scanned or re-photographed images made up of objects she has collected. Her images are generally created without a concept in mind first.
I apologize for the flood of imagery. I literally had to exit out of the window or I'd post all of her pictures.
